Newsblur is a paid solution, but a great solution. It feels like Reader before Google Buzz, so you have a sharing community for your posts. Plus it has new features like a keyboard shortcut for jumping to the next unread item and highlighting changes made to a feed item after it was originally published. =D
I thought that too. But free solutions feel too insecure. And the guy behind Newsblur is very involved with the users, so I appreciate that level of responsiveness.
I already switched to NewsBlur. Feedly has gotten good press. Plus the Digg Reader is expected next week as well.
How does newsblur compare to google reader?

Aw. A paid solution. The features are very nice though.

I may reconsider if no free solution will satisfy my need.
To be fair, the Digg solution looks promising given a very minimalist approach. Feedly just didn’t do it for me.
